Intellectual Property Law 2008: A Year in Review

2007 marked critical changes in intellectual property law. This information-packed seminar focuses on the four cornerstones of intellectual property—patents, copyright, trademarks, and trade secrets. Recent cases that contribute to an ever-changing landscape in patent law are discussed, while copyright experts highlight changes, developments, trends, and new case law. Trademarks topics include new TTAB procedures and internet keyword advertising. Trade secret law focuses on domestic and international changes, as well as enforcement of nondisclosure and noncompete agreements. Lunch guest speaker Stan Soocher, Editor-in-Chief of Entertainment Law & Finance and Associate Professor of Music & Entertainment Industry Studies at the University of Colorado, Denver, provides an engaging opportunity to learn about the confluence of IP and entertainment law.
