There’s a wealth of information available via the Internet, and this half-day seminar will teach you effective and low-cost methods to mine this data. Find missing people and witnesses. Get personal information from Usenet postings, Google, and free newspaper and magazine archives. Learn quick and easy methods to access public records and how to locate low-cost public record/investigative databases.

Presented by Internet for Lawyers, featuring Carole Levitt and Mark Rosch

Carole A. Levitt, JD, MLS, has over 20 years of experience in the legal field as a law librarian, legal research and writing professor, attorney, and Internet trainer. As president and founder of Internet for Lawyers, she has provided customized Internet legal research training to legal professionals at events that include the ABA TechShow, LegalWorks and LegalTech Conferences, ABA annual meetings, the National Association of Bar Executives, the California State Bar, and other law firms, bar associations, and library associations throughout the country. She is coauthor of The Lawyer’s Guide to Fact Finding on the Internet (ABA) and The Cybersleuth’s Guide to the Internet (2008).

Mark E. Rosch is vice president of Internet for Lawyers and developer and manager of the Internet for Lawyers website. He writes and speaks about legal technology for firms and also on how to use the Internet for research and marketing. Mr. Rosch coauthored The Lawyer’s Guide to Fact Finding on the Internet (ABA) and The Cybersleuth’s Guide to the Internet (2008). He has written about the application of computer technology in the law office for Law Office Computing, Los Angeles Lawyer, and The Los Angeles Daily Journal, among other publications.
